Lifesaving equipment for lifesaving hands

Emergency Services treat 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests in the UK every year.
Optimal use of the Chain of Survival makes the difference between life & death.

The iPAD range of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) uses advanced technology and innovative features to provide a vital piece of life-saving equipment – helping to save lives when every second counts.

The original iPAD SP1 quickly became a market leader in automated external defibrillators and is recommended by over 75% of NHS Ambulance Services nationwide.  With its robust one piece design and high peformance, the iPAD SP1 intelligently guides a rescuer through the resuscitation procedure with large clear illuminated instructions and calm voice prompts giving guidance at every step.

The iPAD SP1 unit is available in two different models, one offering fully automatic shock operating mode and one offering semi-automatic shock operating mode.

The British Heart Foundation and The Football Association selected the iPAD SP1 as the AED unit of choice for promotion in their campaign to install defibrillators at all grassroots football clubs throughout England.

The iPAD SP2 is the latest, advanced AED, providing additional features for experienced medical professionals.

Features include a manual override; graphic LCD status indicator and colour screen; ECG transmission device using wireless Bluetooth connectivity plus a wireless Bluetooth printer for immediate ECG printouts with free data analysis software.

How does iPAD work for you?

  • Traceability with the Ambulance Services

Our bespoke warranty scheme offers owners of  iPAD SP1 AEDs a minimum of 7 years protection and once the unit is registered, the warranty is automatically upgraded to 10 years.

Plus, once registered and with client approval, details will be provided to the relevant Ambulance Service for their own records.

  • Full integration with the Guardian Vigilance System

The Guardian Vigilance system is in place to encourage those responsible for the care of an iPAD SP1 to undertake monthly checks on their units and cabinets (if applicable) and provide a regular update to the relevant ambulance service. This ensures public access defibrillator (PAD) sites are maintained in good service.

  • Adapts to Ambulance crew devices via a special adapter

Both the iPAD SP1 and iPAD SP2 AEDs can be equipped with an adaptor that enables them to be deployed with the electrode pads that are already in use on in-situ ambulance devices.

What do people think?

The iPAD is a well considered and thought out AED that offers ease of use which is important to us as most members have not seen an AED prior to joining the team let alone understand how to use them. The ability to easily switch between adult and paediatric modes without needing different pads was a real winner for me as it will significantly reduce our costs and keeps things simple for the operator.
